PRE-DEPARTURE GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION

Greetings from Admission Abroad.!!
WE HEARTILY CONGRATULATE YOU ON YOUR STUDY VISA SUCCESS!!!
Please go through all necessary DO’s and DO NOTs before leaving for Canada.
DO’s
Following things you must carry in your Handbag:
1. Air Ticket
2. Original Passport.
3. All Original Academic Documents and IELTS TRF.
4. Offer Letter (LOA) and Receipt of Tuition Fees.
5. GIC Certificate.
6. Notarized Documents.
7. Contact Details of the Concerned Person (Name, Address and Phone number) with whom you will be staying in Canada.
8. You can also carry your Laptop & Mobile phone; it would be good if roaming is activated in your mobile phone, contact your service provider for the roaming charges.
Also, you must carry the following necessary documents in your Luggage for your future use:
a) Original Driving License along with Authentication Certificate from DTO.
b) Original Experience Letters, if any.
c) Original Birth Certificate along with its translation if it is not in English Language.
d) Before leaving India, it is advisable to take Medical/Travel Insurance from India because it covers the period from the time you leave your home till you enroll the college (the first day in college).
e) Please do not forget to carry all your medicines prescribed by Doctor along with Doctor’s prescription & also carry some general medicines too.
Please note: It’s really important to keep soft copy of all your documents in your personal email, pen-drive or your Laptop.
DO NOT’s
Following things you should not carry with you:
1. Do not carry any Liquid Gel, Shampoo or Deodorant in your Handbag. These things can be carried only in Luggage.
2. Do not carry a Knife, Battery, Pickle, Panjiri, Nuts, Fruits, Seeds and Ayurvedic Medicines. Only sealed medicines can be carried in Luggage.
3. Do not carry any PIRATED CD’s.
4. You cannot carry more than 5,000.00 CAD. You can only carry 2,000.00 CAD in cash. Rest, you can carry in the form of Travel Cheque, Demand Draft or Forex cards.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. Airport Questionnaire: Please go through each & every detail on your Offer Letter very carefully on which you got Visa as Airport authorities might ask you any of the following questions regarding that & You must answer to the following questions in English only:
a) Name of your college
b) Full name of your course
c) Level of course (post – secondary/ post graduate)
d) Complete duration of your course with their exact start & completion date/ length of your course/ No. Of semesters
e) Complete address of college with their Campus
f) Tuition fees for every year/per semester.
g) What you studied earlier i.e. your previous Education
h) Your IELTS Score
i) Do you have campus or off campus accommodation i.e. where will to stay (You must say you will live with your friend or relative who are coming to receive you. You must know the complete address of them.)
j) How much Funds do you have.
k) VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION - What will you do after your course completion
NOTE: FOR THE MARRIED LADY, SHE MUST KEEP HER ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND MARRIAGE ALBUM ALSO HANDY.
2. Off Campus Work Permit: It is issued at Airport with Study Permit; with this you can work legally for 20 hours per week in Canada during your education.
3. Post Graduate Work Permit: After completion of course in Canada you need to apply for Post Graduate work permit within 90 days of completion of course or before expiry of study permit if it is expiring before those 90 days of course completion. (For further information refer to www.cic.gc.ca).
4. Emergency: In case of emergency, you can contact our Ontario Office at +1-204-891-5005 or you may also contact 911 for health or crime related issues.
5. College Plagiarism: While preparing any assignment avoid copying ideas of other fellows or from the Internet. Always try to give your own views/ideas in the assignments or articles being prepared for submission to the college. If anybody is caught adopting such practices he/she can be suspended/expelled from the class/college as per college policies.
6. Important Deadlines: You must always keep track of important deadlines and assignment submissions as asked to do so by your teacher/college. Any late submission or absentee always results in lower scores or failures.
